The Human Behind the Code
Hey! I’m Andy Caladine – business systems manager by day, student by… also day, and passionate web developer in every moment I can spare. I started my degree in 2019 and, while it feels like I’ve aged a decade, I’m finally approaching the final level of modules. It’s been a wild ride of coffee, code, and learning the hard way (and then blogging about it so others don’t have to).
I’m proudly dyslexic and have ADHD – which means I’m both wildly creative and sometimes distracted by shiny new ideas (hello, spontaneous SQL course!). But this neurodivergent cocktail gives me an edge: I feel how important accessibility is. I don’t just make sites that look nice – I make sure they’re usable for real people. People like me. People like your customers.
🎯 What I Do:
- Build functional, clean, responsive websites using WordPress, Shopify, and raw code.
- Update and refresh tired websites to make them modern, accessible, and user-friendly.
- Mix creativity with practicality to make sure sites work for users, not just search engines.
- Maintain several live websites like Websites By Design, Perfect Day Pages, and Perfect Day Creations, all handcrafted with love (and a lot of late nights).
✏️ Why I’m Different:
I’m not here to pretend I’m perfect. This site is a no-filter zone – I share the wins and the faceplants, because that’s real life. I’m learning as I go, and I love it. My blog will follow my journey through uni, tech, and life – complete with rants, laughs, and maybe a swear or two (but never on a client site, promise).
👀 What’s Next?
I’m looking for freelance gigs – from website updates to full builds. If you’ve got a site that needs a glow-up, or an idea you want brought to life, let’s have a chat. Just don’t expect me to take myself too seriously.
